Yet we refuse to wake up , and smell it!
The planet burns yet all we do is make merry!!

Politics, Fuck it!
Parliament should shove it!!
Rotten politicians,
So full of bull crap…
Making me nauseous,
Greedy untaxed hyenas!
I’ll vote them out with my middle finger!!!

We’re pressed all around…
Watch, buy, listen, download…
Media mania,
And adults don’t care!
Lights, camera, action…
Slow motion soft porn,
On the tv set in your home!!

1pm
Is it Fashion? or misused passion!
Little girls sporting tube-tops!!
Rapists saying ‘it’s not our fault’
Activists shouting ‘cut IT off!!’
What the fuck is going on?????

Traffic movement,
A 3 am road accident.
Speeding cars!
Drunk lads!
Bleeding heads,
Before your last breath,
Make sure you make amends!!

Their colored wings
Cleanse my muddy face
And as they flap and happily sing
They create a loving colorful breeze…

I open my eyes to their hymn
And what do I see?
A sweet sweet breeze…
Bliss!!
I see the color of the wind!

our love became a rotting lazarus
that we couldn’t resurrect.
we lacked the power
and openness that is characteristic of what’s real.

we’ve forgotten each others spells;
and so we sit across each other

I am the wind
I exist and I cease to exist as I please.
You bask in my breeze mother earth; I sweep you of your feet
Your faith is my existence, your doubts are my extinction
Sometimes I blow you away
Most times I seem to bring you pain…

I am fire,
I call forth mother earth’s art and romance…
I bring out your passion, that which you hide beneath your skin,
I am your reflection of all that burns within.
I consume you and repulse you
I am a sad fire; for you’re ever afraid of me
And ignorantly ashamed of me….

do u see through my mask?
do you see through my disguise?
do you see through my skin,
right down to my intestines!
do you know me?

you are scared on this night
and so am i
but you cannot tell through my mask.
after all you’ve never seen me.

that you’re not really yoU

But your conscience desires me not

And so you always leave me torn.

Torn, alone and in a grey storm…

In my ensuing confusion after we kiss

I ask you to want me, and to crave our bliss

I ask you to ignore your conscience

And cling to me!

As much as it is unfair of thee…..

How I die away from your touch.

You’re long gone now,

And your ghost is my only consolation.

Our love was a passing cloud

Perhaps it was just emotional fraud;

In its place I grapple with quiet storms and endless doubts.

Eve, I miss you in our garden,

How daunting a task it is

Living this way…

Always trying to turn our stones into bread

With my soul torn away from its source.

Or perhaps it’s my source

That’s been torn away from my soul…

And then begin the questions,

Firing away in the depth of my half alive conscious;

“Who is your source?

Is it she,

Or is it Me?”

My philosophic answer rings in response

That she is from your divine essence,

Therefore she is my source as well.

If I have adored her above you,

It’s because I’m only half myself without her.

And in her, your divine hand made my world come alive.

I must be foolish,

Answering God in this way…

Her love made me drunk

And I loved being in that blissful stupor…

Sobriety means being half myself again

In pain, hurt and ghost filled memories.

I wonder if her ghost shall ever leave me…

Just like Adam, I choose to blame Eve

Just like Adam I’m so full of shit.

God speaks and says well done my son.

And I sit on my chair, and cry peacefully

Hard choices always take guts.

Now I know carrying a cross isn’t easy

Its not just heavy wood on my back,

It’s also ghosts in my heart.

All I ask is that He

Takes away the pain,

Heals all the members of my hurting half soul,

And helps me to learn to live with her ghost-

She who I loved the most…

As sleepless as a thousand insomniacs

Perhaps its because of the heartbroken ghosts

Resurrected by the all too familiar cycle

The cycle of love and its elation, loss and its frustration

So with seasoned hearts,

The lovers of this world move on.

Perhaps in the ensuing cycles

The end shall be sweeter;

The end shall have idealists and their ideals,

Realists and their beliefs

And all who are in between

Finding love…

For now however,

Let us languish in our sleeplessness

Stare up at the darkness

And court the ghosts;

The ghosts of hearts we broke.

Lets laugh and love and touch them.

In doing so,

We shall discover how to love our selves first.

The curtain closes on a seemingly dark soul

Wondering to and fro,

Searching and yearning desperately

For another seemingly dark soul…

In a sleepless, insomniac world

A world draped in the cold winter of loneliness.
